Analysing A Horror Movie

The horror movie that I have analysed, is the 2012, highest grossing British horror film in 20 years, The Woman In Black. It stars Daniel Radcliffe and has a sensational cliff hanger. Some may say that it's not that much of a horror movie as it is not scary. I believe that it is a scary horror movie and never fails to make you jump at different points in the movie! Here are some images from the film. There is usually a stereotypical haunted house that a person goes to visit for a while or lives in. The house is usually situated out in the middle of nowhere, for instance a forest or next to a graveyard. The house is usually a mansion and is haunted. Another stereotypical aspect of a horror movie is the fact that there are children which are used, that is symbolic of their innocence being corrupt. They also haunt people in the movie.

I didn't expect the movie to be as scary as it was as it is an English movie and I personally believe that American movies are a lot more scary.
